Joaquin Tome
Joaquin and Sandra Tome, along with their daughters Arianna and Ana Raquel have dedicated their lives to God’s service. Joaquin and Sandra have been with Campus Crusade for Christ since 1986, ministering to universities in San Pedro Sula and throughout Honduras. They are dedicated to see that the Gospel is heard and understood.
They work closely with many prominent ministries and are highly respected throughout because of their compassion, focus and integrity. Nearly everyday, Joaquin and Sandra are at the large University in San Pedro Sula (over 5,000 students) sharing the gospel, training new believers and mobilizing teams to share the gospel. They help mobilize students and professors to minister in impoverished areas.
Partnering with numerous churches, he organizes outdoor mass viewings of “The Jesus Film” as an evangelistic tool, seeing hundreds come to Christ through this media. Joaquin and Sandra are dedicated to training Pastors and their congregations through seminars on sharing the Gospel message, “Home Builders” seminars for marriages and other equipping classes to help them maximize their personal life and ministry.
Joaquin recognized a need to network rural pastors together to serve, teach, and encourage them. Most rural pastors have no opportunities for theological education, events training and fellowship with other bodies of believers. Besides helping the Pastors be more effective for God’s Kingdom, the BTN helps develop their economy by through various projects and other Ministry partnerships.
The beginning phase of the network began in the Gualaco and Agalta Valley of Olancho. Joaquin has been working in that area since 1997 with his friend Pastor Vaughn Drawdy from The Church of Joy in Williamson, Ga. USA.
